Introduction
This website (and associated www.naffaccountants.co.uk) details my allegations of negligence against partner Simon Hathaway of Chartered Accountants Cooper Hathaway of Buckingham Gate, 78 Buckingham Gate, London SW1 (previously of Radnor House, 93-97 Regent Street, London).
On 27th January 2003, the Disciplinary Committee of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) found that Hathaway had failed to deal with my tax affairs on a timely basis and that Hathaway had agreed a share valuation with the Inland Revenue without my knowledge or authority, and without validating the figures. The Committee ordered that Simon Hathaway be reprimanded, pay costs to the ACCA of £2,620 and that the decision should be published in the professional and local press referring to Simon Hathaway by name.
If you have experienced less than satisfactory dealings with Simon Hathaway, or his firm Cooper Hathaway, I would be most interested to hear from you and you may in the very strictest if confidence. I firmly believe that cases like this should be brought to public attention, so offer the resources of this website to other clients who have had reason to complain about Simon Hathaway or Cooper Hathaway (previously Pethybridge Tarn). I would also be grateful for notification should the firm move address, change name or Simon Hathaway move to a different practise.
